HOW CAN I KEEP FROM SINGING.

Good Afternoon from a wild and windy city of Adelaide today - a summer storm has brought down the temperatures and the wind is howling at the moment.   It is quite sultry and a little strange to experience such a dark sky day in the middle of summer.

It is true that birds sing after a storm and there is absolutely no reason we should not too.
For many of us storms come in the form of illness and change of circumstance  and they are big storms and when they are over we are often changed and more open to the beauty of our world and the people who live here.

There are diamonds in the sky over Philadelphia tonight as my friend rejoices in receiving a letter from his liver donor's sister.   He now knows that his donor's name was Seth and he is anxious to write back to the family.

The storms Joe has endured to bring him to this place in his life have been many and fierce, but he constantly keeps on with positive thoughts and supporting other people - his policy is no turning back, no looking back - he is living in the "here and now" and I rejoice with him and celebrate this wonderful milestone in his "new" life.   "How can I keep from singing ?"

"My life goes on in endless song
above earth's lamentations,
I hear the real, though far-off hymn
that hails a new creation."

It is a true joy to share the excitement and delight of this "new creation."  Bright eyed and with a healed wing, this beautiful bird is ready to fly.   Soar and swoop and live your life to the fullest Joe.  There is certainly joy in your journey today.

I have been out driving this morning in strong winds and heavy rain to take some books to a friend who is housebound and has run out of books to read - I can't imagine not having a book to read - I usually have a stack along side by bed and quite easily and quickly drift into a new book.  I included chocolate in my visit today - a rainy day, a good book and chocolate - how nice.

This afternoon we are off to visit Naomi and Alexis for coffee and cake - Alexis is the family cake maker and I have no doubt it will be delicious.  They are both extremely busy with their work and Naomi with her study - I am proud of my girl working and studying and getting assignments in on time.

I saw a Movie yesterday with "The Golden Girls" and then we had dinner out - a good film (although I suspect I slept through the first part of it) and dinner was great,  The film we saw was "Man on a Ledge" and there were times when my stomach turned and churned looking down from that ledge.

So here I am at Sunday lunch time and it has already been a wonderful weekend for me and for people I love and I wish you a wonderful time as you spend the rest of the weekend.  I hope you are able to do things that bring you joy, spend time with those you love, relax a little and unwind and mostly celebrate life.

The joy is most certainly in the journey and I am happy to celebrate and be part of the journey.

Thank you for visiting the Musings of My Heart - a joyous, celebratory heart today.

Love and hugs,
Linda.
