WE ARE ALL JUST WALKING EACH OTHER HOME.

Good afternoon and welcome to Sunday afternoon in Adelaide where it is quiet, cool and peaceful.  The whole weekend has been peaceful - of course there have been the usual weekend noises of lawn mowing, dogs barking and children playing - but they have been part of the peace and normality of daily suburban life.

I contributed to the noise of lawn mowers yesterday when my lawns were trimmed and now look very neat and tidy - thank you to a very dear friend for putting energy and effort in on my behalf.   

Life is a series of thousands of tiny miracles and this weekend I have noticed many of them.    The joy of the full autumn flush of roses in my front garden, a beautiful ladybug on a leaf, beautiful music and many other beautiful things around me.

I have not been unaware of the pain around me too - a sweet and dear Facebook friend died in her sleep on Friday morning and I shall miss her positive and caring input to my days   

Fly free Kimberlie and rest easy you will be missed.

Several others have opened their hearts and thoughts to me this weekend and I hope that I have been able to say the words they needed to hear and bring some measure of calm and tranquility to their hurting hearts.

I have shared excitement and happy times too - new of a new car for a friend and a much enjoyed Baseball game for two very special people.

Politics is settling down in my State and life goes on but I would ask you and encourage you to look for the tiny miracles around you - they will brighten your day, ease your heart and bring you joy and comfort.

My weekend has been a time of rest - working on getting these knees back into working order and I have watched some television and done lots of reading, some cooking and laundry - just the ordinary every day things that we so often take for granted.

I have shared the joy of an early spring day for friends and a walk on the beach much enjoyed by them and the dog, heard the news of renovations for  a much loved cottage by the sea and the fact that spring bulbs are peeking through.    The excitement and pleasure of dining out and sporting victories for some.

Life can indeed be full of big and important things and they can be very difficult to handle and understand but be present to each moment and find joy in the little things.

To those of you who are unwell and struggling to cope with health issues - my love and care goes out to you and I hope that better days are on your horizon.

Just had a phone call from my daughter from Sydney airport - excited about the Baseball and heading home with a head full of happy times.

AND THE TOP OF THE MORNING TO YOU

Good Morning and welcome to my Monday morning and the start of another week.    To those who celebrate St. Patrick's Day - I wish you a wonderful day, a time of memories and pleasure.

What started off as a grey and rainy day in my little corner of the world has turned into a cool, but sunny day with a gentle breeze blowing.  Our days are getting shorter as we are now into Autumn - my favourite time of year - "Season of mist and mellow fruitfulness."

The cooler days are so refreshing after what for us was a summer of blistering heat.

My week stretches before me with some appointments and it is strange how they all fall on the one day - but life is sweet and pleasant and will be even more so when I am completely well again.

The house next door to me was recently sold and the new family are doing renovations and it is going to be lovely when finished and for me it is lovely to hear the sound of people getting on with their lives and the laughter and tears of small visiting children.

Our world seems a little out of control and my thoughts and prayers are with the families of the passengers on Malaysia Airlines flight 370 which just seems to have vanished without trace - the anguish and pain they must be feeling.   It must be very distressing to not know what has happened.   It seems we can trace most things these days but are having great trouble finding a plane.  It is good to see so many countries joining in the search both in the air and on the sea and I hope that there is soon some results and families can find peace.

We have had Elections in two States of Australia this last weekend (The Ides of March - not a day I would have chosen for an election) and there are many who are happy with the results and many who are less than happy.   We appear to have a Hung Parliament in South Australia but the next few days will see what results postal and absentee votes bring forth.    I enjoy the banter and campaigning that goes with Elections and have followed quite closely and am keen to see just how things turn out.

I hope that wherever you are in this beautiful world that you can find joy in the little things around you.   I am looking forward to the turning of the leaves and the crisp cool winds of Autumn and enjoying the laughter and love of friends and family.    Be present to each moment and enjoy your work and your leisure.  Celebrate the laughter of the children in your life - spend time with them - cook, read stories and just celebrate life.

THANKFUL THURSDAY ONCE AGAIN

Good Afternoon and welcome to Thankful Thursday - there is always something to be thankful for and Thankful Thursday, naturally follows wonderful Wednesday.   Wednesday was the day I received my life saving Liver Transplant and Thursday was the day that I woke from surgery and became aware of how very blessed and lucky I was.   I had survived the surgery and now was on the road to recovery.   Hence they are both special days and I get a weekly reminder of just how lucky I am.

Spring winds are blowing here but the sun is shining and it is quite chilly, but a beautiful day in so many ways.   I am blessed to have the support of friends doing some maintenance work for me today and the day is going very quickly.

Life for me is very sweet and I am thankful each day, but there are always for everyone of us, things that get in the way and cause us to stumble on our journey and I try to stumble through life gracefully and with good grace.

I am aware of the friendships I have and those who love me and care for me and are prepared to catch me lest I fall and to encourage me on my way.

I count my family and friends as very great blessings and it is lovely to laugh together and discuss things in detail.  It is good to hear the suggestions of others and to accept that they know better than me.

I am learning that when I stumble to make it part of the dance and get on with the next part of my day and my life.

I have met and become friends with many people since my transplant and since reaching out over the Internet and I am thankful for both of these experiences in my life.  My life is richer and sweeter and I am blessed because of both.

I hope whatever you are doing today brings you joy and that you meet many friends along the way.  Strangers are friends we just haven't met yet.

I noticed this morning that the birds are singing louder and earlier and the sun was up earlier too.    My late afternoon is now extended because of the changing of the seasons and both the plants and weeds are thriving because of the spring rains, which I am assured will bring beautiful flowers.

Wherever you are and whatever you are doing - if you stumble make is part of your dance and enjoy the love and laughter, flowers and stars that surround you and fill your sky.
