JUST CALL ME ANGEL OF THE MORNING.

Welcome to Monday morning in a city shrouded in grey with just a hint of pink and apricot trying to shine through.    Another very cool morning with quite a heavy dew, but the day holds promise of sunshine later.

I did some exploring on my external hard drive yesterday and found some lovely tags that I haven't used for a very long time and "Angel of the Morning" is one set of them.   Of course that sent me scurrying to YouTube to find the track for that song - so here it is from Merillee Rush - I hope you enjoy.

Welcome to another working week for so many of you and I shall hold you close as you struggle at times with difficult situations, difficult people and stressful times.  Face it all with as much enthusiasm as you can muster and know that you can make a difference in your work place by just being YOU and holding tight to your values and beliefs.

School will be in again for those of you with children and those busy Monday mornings are clear in my memory - finding things cast aside on Friday, assignments "just remembered" and things like "I need a costume today" or "I have to take cakes today" - ah yes I remember it well.   I can recall so many times of tearing the place apart finding uniforms etc that had just been discarded in the anticipation of the weekend.  I hope it has been or will be peaceful in your home this Monday morning - I hope that your kids wake well and don't have to be hurried and you can keep your cool.

For those of us for whom the day spreads before us as a blank canvas - let's see what we can paint on it and at the end of the day review the picture there.
Do the things that have to be done and then find something that feeds your soul - nourish and nurture yourself in spite of the circumstances going on around you in your homes and lives.

Sometimes those who share our homes can be difficult and it can make for an unhappy environment - find your own space and do something for you.
It may well be reading a book, solving a crossword puzzle, sewing something, making a wonderful creation from the craft things you have stored.   Start some new project that may take time, but will fill many hours and bring you joy.

Ultimately we are responsible for our own attitude and the things that happen to us - face your day with good grace, allow yourself to grieve for times past, find some new hope and joy.

My friend Vicki who is really struggling with her end stage breast cancer received the most beautiful gift yesterday.

Her daughter Mallory gave birth to a very special baby girl
OLIVIA ROSE - 8lbs. and very well.

This is a photo of Vicki and Olivia - the emotion on Vicki's face brought me to tears - what a precious little bundle of pure joy.  Notice in this photo Pete's hand ever supporting Vicki.

This is the happy little family:

this is certainly a family "in the pink"

So many babies recently - all arriving safely and well and bringing hope.

Today is my "baby's" birthday and it can't really be 32 years since we welcomed our own precious little girl. 8lb. 8oz. Naomi Kate.  No celebration for us at this stage - she has a business trip interstate and is in the middle of major papers for her study.   That celebration will come very soon with a lovely autumn barbeque.

I am waiting for the news that Ash and Avery are "home safe" - currently they are in the air and on their way home.   ****

I have a parcel to collect this morning from a Depot near the Airport - they tried to deliver it on Friday but the door bell couldn't have been working so they left a card. I know what it is so there is  no surprise there. ++++

My reading is going well and I am at the start of the Trilogy by Stieg Larson -
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl who played with Fire and The Girl who kicked the Hornet's Nest - not really sure how I will go but giving it a try.

I tried to watch television in bed last night but - yes you guessed it - I slept through Midsomer Murders - knowing our television programming system it will come around again as a repeat (probably several times.)  It is the end of the series as we know it with my beloved Tom Barnaby (John Nettles) leaving the series - I must stay awake for the final episode.

I am looking forward to the return of "SPOOKS" to ABC 1 - I have enjoyed this series from day one and this is a new series starting next Saturday evening.  A spy series from BBC Television about MI5 and MI6.

Enough ramblings from this "Angel of the Morning" - I shall leave you to enjoy your day- to find things to be grateful for - my gratitude this morning is

"I am grateful when sleep overcomes me and I can rest."

Be a little kinder, smile a little more and revel in the pure joy of being alive - I do.

Love and hugs and thanks for stopping by to read "The Musings from my Heart."

**** News just in - they are in Atlanta (Georgia)waiting for an flight to Valdosta and home.

++++ Been on the phone regarding parcel which has now gone missing in action - big search going on there.

Thank you for another pearl of wisdom (or 3). Oh those school days were a trial sometimes but the good memories out way the "morning dramas" , the late assignments I am still dealing with through marks son Fred, who can't talk to his father about them. I know that one day Mark will regret the decision to be the "Happy Parent" and not deal with the little stuff, his loss but sad.

I am planning, no make that doing, some work on a craft project today, out tomorrow, then down to Mum's for a couple of days, ho hum.

I need my holiday but it will happen this month and it will be lovely to see my boy.
Hugs, Lynne
