Good Morning and welcome to another grey morning in Adelaide, we had lots of rain overnight and it is quite steamy this morning although we are forecast a cool day.
I listened to the early morning weather forecast this morning and the only place in Australia not forecast for rain today is Alice Springs - right in the middle. There are rain bands all around the coastal areas and inland.
Monday, Monday - and back to work for so many of you - do it with the best attitude you can and try to get through the day without losing your cool.
Several reasons for joy this morning on the news (although an awful lot of gloomy stuff too) - my heart rejoiced to hear that rescuers had pulled an 80 year old lady and her 15 year old grandson from the rubble - safe and well.
They survived by accessing their fridge, drinking coca cola and eating yoghurt! An odd combination but when that's all you have - and it kept them alive.
This is Jin and she looks in remarkable condition.
I saw photographs of the clean up at Misawa Beach in Japan with Ashley and lots of others helping bring some sort of order to that community.
I have a link to share from the Donate Life Week Rose planting ceremony here in Adelaide in February:
Enjoy them - John and I are in those photos but so small you would never find us - it was a true delight to be there and when you view them you will see "The Book Of Life' which is as I told you before, a very beautiful book.
I had parcels delivered this morning and the joy is that they were here by 8.15 a.m. so no waiting around for them. Nice Work.
I saw a good movie yesterday "Unknown" with Liam Neeson action filled and with lots of twists and turns. Good acting - a great outing - ice cream and a movie. Then we had dinner at Spargo's - I had a salmon and prawn risotto and it was delightful. Home again in heavy rain and an early night for me.
Lots of email in my box this morning - some good and some not so good.
One sharing with me a difficult time and decisions made, an apology and moving on.
Shared quite a "Jam Session" of youtube clips with friends last night and it is amazing the variety of different music liked by people and also the number who like the same type of music. It was refreshing and as William Shakespeare said in Twelfth Night:
"If music be the food of love, play on,"
It was refreshing and delightful and I think it brought joy to many ladies.
I don't have a busy day today - I actually have achieved quite a lot already. Was going to do laundry but leaving that until the rain goes away.
I have some mail to answer, some decisions to make and some research to do.
I want to look up a site about a handbag Narelle showed me yesterday. A delightful bag with interchangeable outer shells and changeable handles - designed naturally by a woman - Michelle. The Company is called Miche (pronounced Mee Shee) and the outers are called Chelles (shells)
combination of her name - I love it.
Have a look and also if you are in Australia look at
A wonderful idea - what too so long ?
With a smile on my lips, a song in my heart and a spring in my step I am off to face "Just another Manic Monday."
The Bangles with Just another Manic Monday.
Enjoy your day - find joy in the little things, put the past behind and open your heart to all things new and exciting.
Love and hugs,
