SATURDAY IS HERE AT LAST AND MORNING HAS BROKEN

Welcome to Saturday morning in my little corner of the world and welcome to the dewdrops on my  grass, the bird's song, and the first rays of sunlight peeping through.   "Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning" and it is so very beautiful.   My lawn is very damp this morning and I have just walked barefoot through it - why?  Because I am alive and can.  It is invigorating and although my feet are cold now - I cherish the feeling and emotion of it all.

Just to be able to do the simple silly things of life overwhelms me and I give thanks for all the joys of morning.

(Morning has Broken - Cat Stevens)

My Daily Gratitude this morning is:

"I am grateful for the morning and the dew on the grass and the exhilaration of walking barefoot through it."

Today holds the promise of sunshine and a gentle breeze - I love the days of Autumn and those days when I first notice the changes, when the wind is a little cooler and I suddenly need a jacket.

This afternoon I am off to my Music Concert and looking forward to it very much, but first comes shopping for groceries.  I don't enjoy it very much, but do it with good grace because I am blessed indeed to have so many choices spread out before me - will try to remember to take the shopping list with me this week.   That is something I often do - I diligently write the list and get to the shops and where is the list?  Home on my desk.   I usually manage quite well from memory but there is always something forgotten.

I try to shop early because there are no crowds and it lessens the risk of infection for me and it is more peaceful then and I enjoy it more.  I guess this is because I am an "early bird" and like to get most things done early.

I have a new neighbour - Peter introduced himself to me yesterday when I was at the letter box and I thought that was nice.  He has been there a week and I haven't heard any noise at all - apart from a car starting every so often, so all is well there.

Sleep was broken and disturbed for me, but I did stay there and rest and was snug and warm.   It is the time that I do lots of deep thinking and often the things that I have forgotten during the day come back to me.  Memory is a strange thing - it amazes me that sometimes when furthest from my mind - something I had been trying to remember just comes leaping into my mind.
Mostly this happens during the night so I have started keeping a pad and pen alongside my bed and I write it down - so that it is not lost again somewhere in time.

To those in Australia I hope your weekend starts well for you and that you are able to enjoy it and those in the northern hemisphere enjoy your Friday evening and I hope you wake to a beautiful Saturday.

Whatever your plans for the weekend I wish you a safe journey, good company, great food, the company of friends and family.   Perhaps a visit to the Library would meet your needs or a browse through a book shop, craft shop   or just coffee at a nice coffee shop.

To those of you caring for aging parents who are not enjoying good health - I wish you a weekend of special times, patience when they repeat the same thing so many times and good memories of times when days were different.

Make the memories that will serve you well, get your hands dirty in the garden, make a cake, bake bread - just enjoy the life you have - it is special and so too are you.

Sending love and hugs and many thanks for visiting and taking the time to read  "The Musings from my Heart."

We had 15 visitors yesterday from all over the world and it really made me smile to know that my words have touched some hearts, and hopefully made the path a little easier for them.
