Very Lynn - There'll Always be an England.
I was born just a few miles from the Welsh Border and much to the delight of many I was born in England
I was born a Thomas but there are Jones and Vaughan connections.
My Grandfather was George and you can guess when his birthday was and it was always a thorn in his side that I was not names Georgina. He shared the birthday of William Shakespeare.
Somewhere in the complete celebration of Easter and Anzac Day I can't let St. George's Day be lost.
To those of you with English connections - be proud of your heritage and particularly so this coming week with the celebration of the Royal Wedding of Prince William to Catherine Middleton.
The English will do all the pomp and ceremony in grand style and I for one will be watching the wedding on television.
Celebrate St. Georges Day - the Patron Saint of England.
Vera Lynn - ROSE OF ENGLAND
Tears fall as I remember the pride my Father had in his homeland. He would love this blog - he would be singing loud and strong "Rose of England."
So Dad, wherever you are I hope you know you were loved and remembered on this day special to you.
Thanks for visiting and reading the "Musings of My Heart" a proud heart this morning.
