"Perhaps I had a wicked childhood
Perhaps I had a miserable youth
But somewhere in my wicked, miserable past
There must have been a moment of truth

For here you are, standing there, loving me
Whether or not you should
So somewhere in my youth or childhood
I must have done something good

Nothing comes from nothing
Nothing ever could
So somewhere in my youth or childhood
I must have done something good"

Good Morning and welcome to my little corner of the world this Wonderful Wednesday - I celebrate 69 weeks post transplant today and each day is a miracle - I am totally in awe of the fact that my skin is pink, my eyes are clear and my liver is working well.  Every day may not be good but there sure is something good in every day.

There is a spring in my step and a song in my heart and I can find joy in the smallest things.  I hope that you can find "something good" in your life today - it may be just a smile, a kind word or a phone call from a friend.

Life gets very busy and it can be hard to see these little special things - but they are there if you just look.  So much in our lives to be grateful for, even though they often mean times apart from those we love and cherish.  Work obligations mean travel but be thankful for the jobs you have. Find joy in the celebrations when the clan gathers for weddings, baptisms and other special family times.

“Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family: Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.”
Jane Howard.

This became very clear to me on Sunday when I met up with Elizabeth and David - we are a small family and we really do need each other.

Lots of families would have gathered at Easter to celebrate - don't wait for a special time - make a special time.  Get together just because you love and care about each other.  Make the memories for the little ones, let them feel the love of family, play with their cousins, nurse the babies and generally be aware of family love.  Cook the favourite recipes - indulge each other and nourish the network, the clan, the tribe - whatever you call it.

Technology today means you can talk with your distant relatives and see them in real time - you can watch the little ones grow, hear their first words, take a peep in their mouths and look at their first teeth.  I am grateful for technology.  Use the technology, make phone calls and even use the Mail Service - parcels are lovely to receive.   Just send a postcard to the little ones in your life - they love getting mail and it opens up conversations.

I take a moment aside to think of my Donor family and the empty chair in their home - because of their generosity I live and I am grateful. Their family chain has a missing link and I hope it brings them some comfort to know I am doing so well.

Looking out through my windows I can see beautiful Autumn sunshine, leaves blowing in a gentle breeze, soft and fluffy clouds in an azure blue sky - "somewhere in my youth or childhood I must have done something good."

Enjoy the day as it evolves for you and I challenge you to find some joy in small things - Lynne I know you love seeing the kangaroos and koalas on the golf course and you nurture your environment and leave water out for the brown snake and speak daily with your "resident" spider. I live in a world of domestic pets and see the wild creatures through your eyes. Thank you.

Stop somewhere in your day and just look at the petals of a rose, how perfectly they fit together and know that we are all part of a "clan" and each have something to offer.

Thank you for sharing your world with me - your craft creations, your times promoting Organ Donation, your lovely children/grandchildren - they add to the colour of my world.  Thank you for taking the time to visit "The Musings from My Heart" and sharing the pure joy I feel at being alive.
Love and hugs,

"I am grateful to celebrate 69 weeks post transplant,  I am grateful to celebrate life itself."

Delightful and thanks,
I hope your birds are always free to visit, your trees always sway when you pass and that there is always flowers in your life.
I always take the time to admire nature and am very well rewarded, as you are.
May more people see what is around them instead of just looking
