Almond Blossom http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zpxCxbFT-A Today by John Denver |
Today, while the blossoms still cling to the vine
I’ll taste your strawberries, I’ll drink your sweet wine
A million tomorrows shall all pass away
‘Ere I forget all the joy that is mine, Today
I’ll be a dandy, and I’ll be a rover
You’ll know who I am by the songs that I sing
I’ll feast at your table, I’ll sleep in your clover
Who cares what tomorrow shall bring
Today, while the blossoms still cling to the vine
I’ll taste your strawberries, I’ll drink your sweet wine
A million tomorrows shall all pass away
‘Ere I forget all the joy that is mine, Today
I can’t be contented with yesterday’s glory
I can’t live on promises winter to spring
Today is my moment, now is my story
I’ll laugh and I’ll cry and I’ll sing
Today, while the blossoms still cling to the vine
I’ll taste your strawberries, I’ll drink your sweet wine
A million tomorrows shall all pass away
‘Ere I forget all the joy that is mine, Today
Today, while the blossoms still cling to the vine
I’ll taste your strawberries, I’ll drink your sweet wine
A million tomorrows shall all pass away
‘Ere I forget all the joy that is mine, Today

An early post from me this morning - Saturday cold and wet but the blossom is out on the Almond tree and I couldn't resist posting this song. It reminds me very much of a friend from long ago and memory is sweet.
It is very pretty and heralds the dawning of spring - I love it and I love it when the spring winds take the petals and whirl them around my garden. It is like the wind is dancing with the blossoms and scattering petals on the way. Very beautiful.
I have my lunch all prepared and I am ready for an early start for my class and am quite excited about it. This will be the first "class"/study time I have done since long before my transplant and it will be a time of friendship with Narelle. I am picking her up at 9.00.a.m. and off we go - I am quite excited about it.
I hope you can find something nice to do today and that wherever you are there are songs and smiles, memories and magic in your day. May there be peace and plenty, hugs and happiness and may there be sunshine in your sky and diamonds at night.
See the world in whatever season you are in - we have winter but the promise of spring - if summer is your companion relish the warmth and sunshine.
I am off now to do a few things before I go - take care and be safe in whatever you do.
Thanks for visiting The Musings from my Heart and I hope you will visit again soon.
Love and hugs,
