Willie Nelson - Ain't it Funny How Time Slips Away
Good Morning and welcome to Wonderful Wednesday and today I reach 82 weeks post transplant - alive and living well and loving it all.
This is a piece of music I heard during the night when I was snug and warm in my bed and doing the wander through my mind and it became clear to me that time really does go quickly - suddenly the days have turned to weeks, the weeks to months and here I am walking the walk and talking the talk at 574 days post transplant.
Today is cold but the sky is blue and we are promised a temperature of 20 degrees (almost a heatwave for this time of year) and I hope to be able to enjoy the warmth of the sun for a while today.
Firstly I am off shopping and then home to prepare dinner - such ordinary things to do - the daily routine, mundane things that were denied to me for so long when I was ill and I rejoice to be able to back the car out and go and do these things.
It is funny how time slips away which just reinforces with me how important it is to live each day to the fullest and be present in each moment of each day.
We should be sure to say the things we want to say to those we love, do the things we can and want to do and to enjoy every moment of every day. Don't sweat the small stuff - and mostly it is all small stuff. I am learning to live in the moment, not to be ruffled by the things that would normally have bothered me. I try to do what I can and then let things go and not be stressed.
I am refusing to run or play with the 'WOULDA, COULDA, SHOULDA' Sisters - I do what I can but don't beat myself up when I fail.
"The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, not to worry about the future, or not to anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly."
Buddha
May you find times where you can be present to the moment and share the joy in your heart.
I wish safety for you and a warm and cozy bed when night time comes for you and may you have a sweet and peaceful sleep.
Off now to do my shopping with a smile on my lips, a song in my heart and a spring in my step. Life is good and I am thankful.
Take care and thanks for visiting.
Love and hugs,
