IT'S TUESDAY AND MAY IT BE

Welcome to Tuesday in my little corner of the world and it is truly a beautiful day which started as a very cool morning with heavy dew on the grass and is now developing into something spectacular.
How often we are so busy that we do not take the time to look around us and see the beauty that is there constantly  - I have walked around the garden this morning and found a rose in bloom with dew drops, a spider web, parsley and spinach flourishing.  Mint - not doing so well but I always have trouble growing mint.  Tiny pink flowers in pots along the driveway smiling at me.
May it be that you find beauty in your world today.

"May it be an evening star
Shines down upon you
May it be when darkness falls
Your heart will be true"

Here in Australia we are now on the fifth day of an Easter/Anzac Day holiday period and I am having trouble keeping track of the days - so I keep reminding myself that today is Tuesday.  Another day in a beautiful life that is mine.  It has been a strange weekend - I did have tentative plans to do some sewing, and visit the river and the park but they haven't materialized.  I did have a lovely family time on Thursday evening, a movie and dinner with friends on Friday, some shopping on Saturday and meeting with Liz on Sunday - so although it has been busy and lovely I don't seem to have achieved very much.  I have done some reading and watched my favourite program "Spooks", eaten chocolate and listened to beautiful music.

May it be that there is sunshine in your day today and you are able to enjoy some time with family and friends, take a walk and enjoy that sunshine.

The world is getting excited about the Royal Wedding on Friday and so much preparation has been made and these plans are coming to fruition and if we think planning a wedding takes a lot of effort - think again if the Groom is the future King.

I have been thinking of all the sewing, baking, floral arrangements, music arrangements, bell ringing, crowd control and souvenir manufacturing that has taken place and how often these procedures would have been rehearsed and how nimble the fingers of milliners and dressmakers would have been.  There would be tired eyes from sewing, sore feet from marching and drill work.  I think of the beautiful horses that will be involved in the pomp and pageantry of the day - how much training has gone in there and then the grooming will be a monumental task.   They will be groomed and brushed until they shine.

I shall certainly be watching this special event on television and shall be inspired by the discipline and majesty of the day, thrilled by the beautiful music and enchanted by the little children involved as attendants on this special day.

May it be .............. a day of sunshine - the weather does make a difference.    May it be......... a time of safety and security in a troubled world.  May it be a time of sentiment and love. May it be...............for you a time of joy and celebration.

May it be that you have good health and an easy path to walk.   May it be that you find joy in the little things around you - a conversation with a child, reminiscing with an older family member, looking at some old photographs.

May it be that this Tuesday is a special day for you - a day when you are "at home with yourself" and you find contentment.

"I am grateful for celebrations that bring me joy."

"May it be an evening star

May it be when darkness falls
Your heart will be true"

Love and hugs and thank you for taking the time to visit and read "the Musings from my Heart."

SATURDAY, SUNSHINE, LOLLIPOPS AND RAINBOWS , REMEMBERING AND HOPING.

Hello - here I am - much later in the day than I normally am - shopping and enjoying a glorious autumn Saturday morning - some Garage Sales and a little while spent with friends, crossword puzzles and a fleeting visit from Naomi and Alexis needing coffee cups for work.   Eight coffee cups gone and also a bag.  I hope that counts as "decluttering."  I still have shopping to put away.

The purpose of this music and the tags is, of course the pending Royal Wedding of William of Wales and Catherine Middleton.  This coming Friday will see London streets packed with crowds to view this beautiful young woman on her way to marry the future King.

Dignitaries will travel from all over the world to wish them happiness and I hope that their days are happy.  Diana herself would be delighted to see her beautiful son happy and would have no doubt had some words of advice for Kate.  He is so like his Mother and it saddens me that she is not here to see this day.

She was kind, compassionate, caring and very beautiful and the media hunted her and treated her badly. Let's hope there have been some lessons learned and they will be easier on Kate.

It is lovely to see them together and sense their happiness and it is my fervent hope that THIS beautiful young woman has a happy life and that the media is kind to her and allows her space and time to be herself.

I wish them sunshine on their path and a diamond studded sky and I hope indeed there will be sunshine, lollipops and rainbows for them

I hope that Kate is able to choose the dress she likes and enjoy the day without too much media criticism - it is after all their day and they are no different than any other young couple.

Today is a beautiful day and I was thinking of the brides of today and knowing how happy the cooperating weather will make them.  There is just a gentle breeze blowing - so no veils being tossed in the wind.

Other Royals in the spotlight this week are the Danish Royal Family with our own Australian born Princess Mary and Prince Frederick, and the christening of their beautiful twins.  Prince Vincent and Princess Josephina.
Here they are with siblings Prince Christian and Princess Isabella.

Lots of us are fascinated by Royalty and watch anything and everything to do with them, but I don't envy them their lives at all - to be in the eye of the media all the time would be very frustrating and I guess that those who do follow them do so because they are caught up in the "Fairy Tale" idea of Kings and Princes.

I do watch with some interest but it only serves to make me more thankful for the simple life that is mine.  I can go walking and shopping without being recognized, I can come and go as I please and I have the freedom to be me. I can attend a movie or a show when I choose to and visit friends without an entourage of Body Guards and "Minders"  I can get in my own car and just drive and mostly there is no one with a camera just waiting for me to make a mistake.

"I am grateful for my freedom - of choice and speech."

I hope that this Royal Wedding is incident free and brings joy to many hearts, and I am looking forward to seeing photographs as these Danish babies grow.

It is seeming strange to me with the day half gone and I am only just writing this blog. Life got in the way this morning and I hope your weekend is a lovely one and I am thankful to you for taking the time to visit "The Musings from my Heart."

Love and hugs,
