YOU CAN DANCE, YOU CAN JIVE HAVING THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE.

Welcome to Tuesday morning in my little corner of the world and I have been up early to take my younger daughter to the airport for a business trip to Canberra.

I didn't have a particularly good night and listened to a mix of many types of music and enjoyed that - I was warm and comfortable and must have drifted in and out hearing some music somewhere in the background.

This track is one that drifted my way during the nighttime hours and I hope you enjoy it and indeed have the time of your life.

I am not a dancer but would love to have been - I do however, enjoy seeing others dance and really enjoy themselves.  I love to watch the freedom of expression and the happiness it brings.   It is particularly special to watch little children dance so freely and with abandon.

I notice with Grace that she dances her way through her little life, twirling and turning and expressing the joy she feels and I love to watch her.  I have spent sometime this morning watching Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers go through their paces and the skill involved holds me in awe.  All done with seemingly so little effort and so gracefully - have a look at them in clips from several films:

Dance and music are such a wonderful expression of what is happening in our lives and bring continued pleasure - I get lots of pleasure from clicking on YouTube and seeing and hearing the music which delights me.

Ashley and Avery are "home safe" in Georgia which brings great relief to their family and friends.  This is a picture of Avery taken a while ago and while he was enjoying life in Japan,

Such a handsome little boy.

I take delight in all he does - he is special to me - his Grandma rang me from the delivery suite when he was minutes old and we cried together over the miles.  He has been blessed to enjoy the culture of Japan, speak the language and commence his formal education there.

There is a spring in my step (which will be as close as I come to dancing today) and we are promised a warmer day before another cool change later.
Summer has been different for us we have had a few unpleasant nights, but nothing unbearable and no long protracted periods of heat for which I am very grateful.  The dew was very heavy this morning early when I went to the Airport.

News from Jamestown yesterday brought detail of an earthquake there at about 10.00.p.m. Sunday night - 3.1 on the Richter Scale, enough for them to be aware of it, but there is no damage.   Our world is very troubled and rumbling away and letting us know.

The Japanese are struggling to get the problems at Fukushima Plant under control and the news gets worse from there by the day - I sometimes wonder how much of the truth we are being told about the extent of the damage.

I have to trust and there is precious little that I can do but pray and leave it there - I can't change things.

Another quiet day for me - I am still sore and uncomfortable so happy to be quiet at home - the days are lovely and I have lots to occupy me.  I have laundry to do today and many other things I can do should the mood take me.

I have lots to give thanks for - a beautiful long stemmed pink rose from my garden on my desk, the fact that I was well enough to rise early to go to the Airport to farewell Naomi.  I am grateful when I look at my girls and see the beautiful young and competent women they have become.

I had a lovely long phone call last evening from Darren and it was great to catch up with him and learn how life is for him.  His job keeps him very busy and I admire him - being on the road all the time in all sorts of traffic would be very difficult for me but he does it with good grace.

So, all in all life is good for me and and while

hank you, lovely to listen to the musical accompaniment while I continue reading.
He is a stunning little "Japanese Soldier" and I pray for Japan so he will be able to return there one day.

You have been busy Linda and I hope you have time to relax in the sun today with a favourite book. It's rather cool over here and we have had rain overnight the weatherman says for the next two days there will be rain and I see there is a severe weather warning for up near Innisfail to Bowen. So many things happening in the world
you take care and I look forward to your blogs daily. Hugs xoxo
