Good Morning and welcome to my world - a world of dreams - or that's how it seems this chilly autumn morning here in Adelaide.
I seem to have been dreaming all night long and I am tired from all the walking and working I have done in my dreams.
They were all mixed up - I was all over the place with many people and have relived lots of experiences. I am not usually a sleep time dreamer but I excelled myself last night - maybe it was something I ate.
I am, however a day dreamer and spend many hours with an imagination in over drive and today and share two songs with you - a firm favourite of mine - Castles in the Air by Don McLean:

Day Dream Believer with Anne Murray,
Both are about dreams and very different but both lovely in their own way. Enjoy whichever one you choose or both if that's what you choose to do.
I have been thinking about dreams and dreamers - not the night time mixed up ones over which we have little or no control, but those day dreams - flights of fancy that we indulge in. Hopes and dreams for a better world, for a good life for our children, for world peace, the longing and desire to go back to our roots. The desire to make a change. It was Mahatma Ghandi who said
"Be the change you wish to see in the world"
now there's a challenge!
Those times when we revisit our childhood days and gather those no longer with us close in heart and thought. The good times and laughter we have shared, the funny things our children have said which become part of our family vocabulary.
I guess lots of business ventures start out as dreams and grow and blossom into successful operations. I wonder what sort of dreams Bill Gates had.
I was always in trouble at School for dreaming - I recall being moved away from the window in class because I would constantly be looking out and be gone dreaming again. Moving me didn't work well - I can day dream anywhere and my vivid imagination only feeds my dreams.
Dreams are special times when we can retreat into a safe place and let our imaginations run wild and free and it is something you can do anywhere and you are never alone - I have done my share of dreaming and had many flights of fancy during long and sleepless nights and days of pain in hospital.
It is quite a knack to be able to take yourself away from the place of pain and move around in your mind and dream on. I developed and honed the skill well.
I recall spending some time in ICU (not me this time) with a friend who was dying. He was virtually comatose but I held his hand and talked with him and hopefully I helped him dream away his final hours reminiscing about places he had been and people he loved we talked about cricket and wine (at least I did the talking) and it was lovely when he squeezed my hand to let me know he was with me on the journey. It was a wonderful experience and one which put in place the foundation I would later use when I was so ill.
I love this quote from Henry David Thoreau (1817 - 1862):
"If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them."
I hope that today you are able to spend some time dreaming and that is brings pleasure to your day. Our dreaming takes us to many places and we share hopes and dreams for our children and grandchildren especially those not yet born. News yesterday from a very excited Grandmother Lynne who announced that she is to be a Grandmother again later in the year and that her beloved Grandson Logan would much prefer a puppy to a baby.

Best wishes to you all as you share the joy and dreams this new little one will bring to your family - I hope all goes well with the pregnancy and that the little one arrives safely wrapped in dreams.
I am currently listening to Don McLean and I still enjoy it as much as I ever did - music too takes me away and matches so many parts of my life.
So it's Monday again - just a different name for the day for me - what I mean is that I don't have to get up and go to work - to those of you who do I wish you cheerful colleagues, a quiet telephone, few meetings a tolerant and understanding Manager, few deadlines and enjoyable work space. I wish you a pleasant journey to work - green lights and patient drivers and if you are travelling by bus/train or tram - I hope that other passengers are pleasant and you can enjoy your journey - another place to dream.
I don't have many deadlines, but I certainly remember the pressure of them and the stress they can bring to a day.
I am having my second cup of coffee which means I have been here writing for a while and I love it - I love the quiet of early morning when I can just put together some thoughts for the day.
The weather is beautiful - I received a text message from a friend on Saturday:
"Autumn in Adelaide - Bliss"
this is very true - but thanks Jenn for the reminder.
Love and hugs,

Lovely, I love "my happy place" where I can take myself too when awake but I do wonder at some night time dreams I have!
I'm a talker so i love to talk through my awake dreams and speak to the tees, grass, wildlife and give thanks for all around me.
It is a lovely way to start the day with you, my friend, my mind goes places while I visit, thanks
