(Kenny Chesney)
So damn easy to say that life’s so hard
Everybody’s got their share of battle scars
As for me I’d like to thank my lucky stars that
I’m alive, and well
It’d be easy to add up all the pain
And all the dreams you sat and watched go up in flames
Dwell on the wreckage as it smolders in the rain
But not me, I’m alive
And today you know that’s good enough for me
Breathin' in and out's a blessin' can’t you see
Today's the first day of the rest of my life
And I’m alive, and well
I’m alive, and well
Stars are dancin’ on the water here tonight
It’s good for the soul, when there’s not a soul in sight
But this boat has caught its wind and brought me back to life
Now I’m alive, and well
And today you know that’s good enough for me
Breathin' in and out's a blessing can’t you see
Today is the first day of the rest of my life
Now I’m alive, and well
Yeah I’m alive, and well

In a world in turmoil and despair I find joy today in celebrating 70 weeks post liver transplant - 70 weeks since a kind and generous man lost his life but gave me the gift of life.
Each day is a blessing and I see things through different eyes - I find joy in the small things and love the 'good to be alive' feeling.
This is a link to the blog of a friend which brought me smiles and tears this morning.
It made me so aware of all the things that have happened in the last 70 weeks - some of those weeks are lost to me but I am glad to be here to share my life with you all.
I hope and pray that the stars keep dancing for me and that there will be wind in my sails and I can keep breathing in and out for a long time to come. I hold these wishes too for all the other transplant recipients I know and those I don't know. I hope the quality of their lives is drastically improved and that life is sweet for them.
With a song in my heart, a spring in my step, a sparkle in my eyes and a smile on my lips I thank you all for visiting 'The Musings from My Heart" and reading my thoughts on this amazing day.
Love and hugs,
and to my Donor and family I am
