WELCOME TO SATURDAY AND I MADE IT THROUGH THE RAIN

Barry Manilow - I made it through the Rain.,

"We dreamers have our ways
Of facing rainy days
And somehow we survive
We keep the feelings warm
Protect them from the storm
Until our time arrives
Then one day the sun appears
And we come shining through those lonely years

I made it through the rain
I kept my world protected
I made it through the rain
I kept my point of view
I made it through the rain

And found myself respected
By the others who
Got rained on too
And made it through
When friends are hard to find
And life seems so unkind
Sometimes you feel so afraid
Just aim beyond the clouds
And rise above the crowds
And start your own parade
'Cause when I chased my fears away
That's when I knew that I could finally say

I made it through the rain
I kept my world protected
I made it through the rain
I kept my point of view
I made it through the rain

And found myself respected
By the others who
Got rained on too
And made it through

I made it through the rain
I kept my world protected
I made it through the rain
I kept my point of view
I made it through the rain

And found myself respected
By the others who
Got rained on too
And made it through
And made it through
I made it through."

Good Morning and welcome to Saturday in my little corner of the world and it is a warm start to Saturday.  There is a warm wind blowing even though it is only early.

This is a Barry Manilow song I must have missed during his years - I have loved his music  "I write the songs" "If tomorrow never comes" but this one I seem to have missed - and I was blessed indeed to be introduced to it yesterday afternoon by someone very special.

Thank you Joe for introducing me to this song - yes we are both dreamers and we have both made it through the rain and now standing under blue skies, with thankful hearts we can reflect on those rain filled days and be proud and pleased to have earned the respect of others who "got rained on too".  I shall be playing it often and be glad to know "we made it through"

Yes there were storms, and rain and life certainly did feel unkind, there was pain and sorrow and fear.  Now that the storm clouds have cleared for us we are starting our Parade and sharing it with others "who got rained on too.  In fact with others whose storm is still raging and we have the privilege to support them on their journey.

Our Parade is weaving it's was through a Facebook Group called "Love your Liver" where we are both working hard to be a support team to others during their showers.   I am proud and grateful to be able to provide some shelter, comfort and care for those who are waiting to be listed and those waiting for a transplant.  Proud too of your involvement and amazing support.

Today is hot in Adelaide and I am going to do my grocery shopping early and that will be interesting as there have to be a few dietary changes to try to reduce cholesterol without medication - any ideas will be much appreciated.  I spent time with the Dietitian and she was great and we are to review in three months and see how things are going.   My actual cholesterol level is quite good but having had a transplant they would like it to be even lower.

However you spend your day I hope that you can find joy and that if it is raining on you there is someone to share their umbrella with you and shelter you from the rain.

Have a wonderful Saturday when it arrives for you and there are beautiful times with family, friends - good company, good food, love and laughter.

Thanks for visiting and reading "The Musings from My Heart" - a thankful heart this morning for having made it through the rain.

Love and hugs,
Linda.

OMG, Linda, Thank you so kindly for those lovely words of luv and support. Yes, this song is so appropriate for the group. We have most certainly "through the rain" along with the others..."who got rained on too!

This dedication has brought a tear to my eye. I am so overwhelmed by the luv and support you and the group has given me and my family. This song now will hold a very special place in my heart.

Thank you Australia, Thank You Linda, Thank you Friend
