Another beautiful morning in this the City of Churches, I have been awake since early and been for my walk while the dew was still on the roses. It was crisp and cool but very lovely.
That phrase reminded me of the hymn:
Listen to Jim Reeves sing this old favourite and a couple of others.
It is good to be walking again - I have not been doing so for a few weeks because of my surgery and then I had a cold - but I am back in the swing of it - will have to build up again though. It's amazing how quickly one loses muscle tone and energy. I walk because it is good for me and because I can.
It is a time for contemplation for me a time without telephone calls where I can just let my mind wander and take in the full wonder of my life and all I have been through. So many of you come with me on these walks as I think of you and your friendship and the care you show. It is a special time for me. I have thought of walking in the evenings now that we have daylight saving but it doesn't have the appeal of that fresh early morning delight.
I have had breakfast and showered and am now ready to face the day - I just wanted to share that with you early in my day. I had almost forgotten how much I enjoy Jim Reeves - am listening to him now and it is great.
There is a song in my heart and a spring in my step - life is good for me and I wish the same for you - wherever and whatever time of day/night it is for you.
I looked at the full moon the other night and again was lost in the wonder of the fact that the same moon shines on all of us - it was truly beautiful and I know that so many of you thought so too.
Bye for now - I shall tackle some dishes and then off to the Post Office - and then who knows what this beautiful day will bring my way - but I shall welcome it with open arms and see obstacles as challenges.
I am slower than I used to be - but that doesn't matter I am alive and well.
Love and hugs,
