Good Morning and welcome to Wednesday - 88 weeks post transplant for me and my birthday - a time to celebrate life.

Normally I am very quiet about my birthday and right up to when I went to bed last night was trying to play it as low key as I could when it occurred to me that now more than ever I have much to celebrate.

I am alive and well and have so much to be thankful for and no longer do I care who knows how old I am - this song will give you the answer to that question.

I am blessed to be able to celebrate twice in a calendar year - my official birthday - today and then my transplant birthday December 30th. and to know that I am alive and well thanks to the generosity of my donor and his family.  

So as I celebrate this birthday - I do so with a humble heart filled with gratitude and the best gift anyone could give me would be to register to become an organ donor and help someone else to be blessed enough to celebrate another milestone in their life.

Alive and Well - Kenny Chesney and Dave Matthews.

I will have lunch with friends and see my family this evening - my phone has been buzzing with text messages and I have had ecards and emails - thank you for celebrating my life with me and know that I am able to face whatever lies ahead because of the love and support I have.
