BLOSSOM TO FRUIT

Welcome to Tuesday - a delightfully delicious cool day in mid summer - our cool change came through in late evening last night and a lovely cool breeze blew all night, cooling the house and bringing relief to many.  It was delightful to see the curtains billowing in from the breeze and to know that it was a gentle cool zephyr.

I opened my mail this morning to the usual mail, but there was a special email from a special friend who gave me the news that friends of hers were turning off life support on their son and that they had agreed to offer his organs for transplant.   It brought me much joy and sadness - a bitter/sweet time and I gave thanks for this lovely family who have offered the gift of life to several.   I thought of those people who would get a phone call advising them that an organ was available and who would make their way to hospital for surgery.

I thought of the changes in oh so many lives because of this decision - the empty hearts and lives of the parents and the joy of those recipients and their families and again I gave thanks for the wonderful man who gave ME the gift of life.

The quote above somehow seemed appropriate for today - "I will not die an un-lived life" - I will live each day to the fullest and be open to everything and to live my life so that what comes to me as a seed, goes to the next as a blossom. and that which comes to me as blossom goes on as fruit.

I want to LIVE my LIFE and bring some comfort and encouragement to many.

The mail in my box brought me a reminder that there is always something to be thankful for and to me it was appropriate that this family made their decision on the day of the launch of Donate Life Week in Australia.

I shall be attending the Rose Planting ceremony in the gardens on Sunday and working with Donate Life during next week, sharing my story with those who stop by to talk and ask questions.  This is my challenge - "I will not die an un-lived life."

Thank you for visiting the musings of my heart, a thankful and full heart today.

Love and hugs,
