Good Morning on a cold winter Wednesday and there is so much truth in this quote. Spring is pleasant and full of hope, but I am a Winter Girl and love the cold damp days and the cosy times.
There is so much to be thankful for and to enjoy - walks in the rain, splashing in puddles, wrapping up in hats and scarves and then coming home to warmth and the comfort of winter kitchen smells. Soups, casseroles, stews, home made bread and freshly brewed coffee. All the comfort of a warm bed, soft fluffy towels, a blanket wrap by the fire and a good book. Hot chocolate with marshmallow and raindrops running down window panes.
The sky may be grey and the trees bare of leaves, the wind may howl and blow, but I can find so much pleasure and beauty in winter days.
I shall enjoy the changing of the seasons and the bursting and budding of springtime, but right now I am relishing the beauty of winter.
I hope you are enjoying your current season and can find joy in the little things.
