Good Morning (only just with half an hour of morning left for me)
Today had dawned dry and still, but very cold. I have been to the Post Office to check mail and done some shopping and much to my surprise I found Christmas in my Supermarket. I could hardly believe it - but yes it was there. They had for sale tapestry type place mats and there were four there with a lovely holly design - and yes you guessed correctly- I bought them. Picture below.
The days are moving quickly and I guess this presence of Christmas is merely the beginning. Soon it will be everywhere.
I am still doing very well and have my bag packed ready for my Thursday visit to Flinders - my home from home, although I am tending not to visit as often as I did and it feels great.
I do miss the Nursing staff who cared for me so well and shared so much of themselves, their lives and their families. They kept me in touch with the real world and I felt less isolated because of that. I know that now they are lavishing their tender care on other patients who need them.
I am off to have lunch and do a little reading and then decide how to spend the remainder of the day - it is really rather nice to have inside sort of days to catch up on things. I caught up on my letter writing over the weekend and walked down to the Post Box to mail them - it was cold and windy but a great walk and great to be able to do it. Also took in a movie with a friend - a great place to hide late on a winter, rainy Sunday afternoon.
It was a good weekend and I hope it was for you too. A new week ahead - enjoy each day however you spend it.
Love and hugs,
"Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops.
Let the rain sing you a lullaby."
