Forgot to mention before that while at the movies and waiting for the film to start an advertisement was screened for Donate Life. This promotes the awareness of organ donation and also the very important fact that family members should know your wishes, so that they can follow through.
It made me very proud to be part of that program and to know I carry a donor card in my purse as do so many of my wonderful friends.
I have that first hand knowledge of just what a donated organ means - believe me it is life changing.
