Saturday afternoon and there is a chilly wind blowing, but we do have patches of blue and a very watery sun trying very hard to shine.

All is well and set for another quiet weekend - I need those to try to catch up with all the things I haven't been able to attend to over the past 20 months.

Special times for special people - news of a baby boy for Kylie - welcome Lachlan - and very exciting news for another friend who has found out the baby her sister is having in December is a girl - so that family is anticipating all in pink. A new baby always brings such great promise.

140 days to Christmas and as always I have lots of holly in my heart and this morning collected an Advent Calendar (my purchase from eBay)  it is lovely.  It is wooden and each day of Advent has it's own special ornament to be hung on the shelves of Santa's Toy Shop.   I am a big kid at heart and this will bring a smile on each day of Advent.  It has always been a tradition with my family to have an Advent Calendar and the children would take turns opening the doors each day.  Now it is my turn to open most of them, but if I know they are coming in - I will leave that day's for them to do.

This is a picture of the Advent Calendar.

Truly I have no sense of direction - had to collect this item from a nearby suburb and read the Street Directory wrongly and ended up getting lost.  Maybe it is time for a G.P.S.for my car - although I think I would end up telling it to be quiet.

For those whose weekend has not even started - remember to enjoy it all - but take care.  For those of us well into Saturday - you too enjoy your day and remember to find joy in the little things in life.

Love and hugs,

"There aren’t enough days in the weekend."
