MAY A GENTLE BREEZE

Here I am at the end of my Sunday - the sun is dipping in the west and I shall be off to bed soon.

I had a lovely evening with friends out for dinner and to celebrate two birthdays.
Company was great, food was lovely and it was a late night and boy oh boy I am tired today - still I did but did say no to a movie afternoon this afternoon as I am sure I would have slept.

I have had a very very quiet day and done lots of musing and as this blog is called "Musings From My Heart" I have something to share with you - I found this today when I was tidying up some files on my external hard drive and had quite forgotten it.  It reflects my feelings today and so I share it with you:

MAY A GENTLE BREEZE

May a gentle breeze caress you
And cool your fevered brow,
May there be a light to guide you
Wherever you may go.

May the fragrance of rose envelope you
As you gently brush past,
May there be for you sweet music
And memories that last.

May a birdsong fill your morning
With the joy of a spirit free,
May the gentle waves splash upon you
As you stand beside the sea.

May you see the dewdrop on a rose
And the leaves as they toss and quiver,
May you see the ducklings play
As you stand beside the river.

May the shadows of a full moon
Fall gently on your way,
May you see the morning star
As you start another day.

May you walk through autumn leaves
As the seasons once more pass,
May you bravely walk barefoot
Through the dew upon the grass.

May you splash in puddles
And remember childhood days,
May joy and love surround you
In friendship’s special ways.

January 2007

I hope you enjoy that - I enjoyed reading it again.

The weather is heating up here and today has been very warm and it is forecast for even hotter tomorrow and Tuesday then a change with rain on Wednesday and Thursday and much cooler temperatures which pleases me.

I hope your weekend has been as pleasant as mine and that you too have enjoyed the warmth of friendship.  Narelle and Diane - I wish you a happy year ahead and thank you for organizing dinner last night.  Diane thank you for being kind enough to pick me up and drop me home again - it was thoughtful and much appreciated.

As the weekend comes to and end and you resume your work do so with a determination to be cheerful and understanding when you probably want to scream.  I hope your meetings go well and that you can find some calm in your workplace.

To those sending children off to school - send them off with love and hugs and be sure they know you love them.

Have a wonderful Monday and be safe.

Love and hugs,
