My how the weeks fly by - here we are at Monday and the end of the first month of 2011 - hard to believe that we only have one month of summer left (although out hot weather will continue right into March) - perhaps our Northern Hemisphere friends can see an end to their winter and snow.
Fortunately TC Anthony lost intensity and only gave the coast of Queensland a good drenching - there were strong winds but nothing like they thought there would be.
I am hoping and praying that TC Yasi does something very similar as Yasi is supposed to be very big and very strong. TC Yasi is expected to make landfall late Wednesday/early Thursday. This gives people a chance to make arrangements and get things in order, but my feelings are Yasi Yasi go away.
I have two friends who are directly in the line for TC Yasi and who may leave and go inland. Honour and Diane - be safe whatever you decided to do. To all my other friends in Queensland - take care, be safe and please keep in touch.
Today sees the start of a busy week for me with medical appointments - I have bloods tomorrow and a bone density scan (one year post transplant) and then clinic and podiatry later in the week - these appointments will keep me busy in a hot hot hot city. I also need to take in my Medic Alert bracelet to have it re-engraved - will do that after the scan on Tuesday. Blessings are mine here though because I have a great air conditioner in my car.
To those who are in poor health today - feel better soon and I hope you can find a space to be comfortable and cool.
My American Diane has her husband Bill in hospital for treatment for Leukemia and I hope the treatment is going well and that Bill will soon be home with you again Diane. Healing thought and wishes coming from "down under".
Each one of us carries a burden of some sort and how it impacts on us depends on our attitude to it - remember my word for this year is ATTITUDE and I send you loving, healing thoughts from an attitude of grace and thanksgiving.
Peace and blessings be yours.
Love and hugs,
