WEDNESDAY MORNING

Well here I am again with an update on conditions in Australia and in particular Queensland and the news is not good - Tropical Cyclone Yasi is now bearing down on the Queensland coast at a very great speed.  It has now been classified at category 5 and the image below will show you the size and density of this weather event.

This event is the biggest in living memory and almost as big as Hurricane Katrina  - and there is going to be damage along a stretch of coastline of about 1000 kms. (about 627 miles).

The last evacuation from Cairns hospital is taking place as I write with four neo-natal babies being taken by the Royal Flying Doctor service to Brisbane.  Their Mothers are going with them - but the ache of family left behind must be unbearable.

This link will give you a map of Queensland:

I have friends from Proserpine trying to make it to Rockhampton and Friends from Ayr broken down on the road out.

The sea is angry, the winds are picking up and already all weather monitoring equipment out on Willis Island has been blown away (staff at that station were evacuated yesterday.)

Yasi is making a path to landfall at Innisfail which copped the brunt of Cyclone Larry several years ago.   Crops were lost and they have just started to get back on their feet.

Join me in prayer for Queensland and the Cyclone area - and also for Victoria and New South Wales who are experiencing bushfires.

I am doing well - only one more appointment this week.   We had a cooler night last night, but today is warm again.

Sending love and care to those in America who are suffering their way through Snow Storms and Blizzards - please be safe.

I send my love and hugs your way and hold you all close in heart and thought.

Love and hugs,
