A MONDAY HOLIDAY

"If you go out in the woods today

You're sure of a big surprise.

If you go out in the woods today
You'd better go in disguise.

For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain, because
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic.

Picnic time for teddy bears,

The little teddy bears are having a lovely time today.
Watch them, catch them unawares,
And see them picnic on their holiday.
See them gaily dance about.
They love to play and shout.
And never have any cares.
At six o'clock their mommies and daddies
Will take them home to bed
Because they're tired little teddy bears.

If you go out in the woods today,
You'd better not go alone.
It's lovely out in the woods today,
But safer to stay at home.

For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain, because
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic

CHORUS

Every teddy bear, that's been good
Is sure of a treat today
There's lots of wonderful things to eat
And wonderful games to play

Beneath the trees, where nobody sees
They'll hide and seek as long as they please
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic

CHORUS

Well today has been a picnic day for us.  I packed a lovely chicken salad lunch, chocolate cakes and coffee and off we went with chairs and table.  It was an easy picnic to arrange - just organize lunch and turn up.

We just spent the time talking and laughing - I had a very special time talking with Nick's brother Toby and I couldn't believe how much young Beth has grown.

It was lovely and I am tired, although I did nothing I think just sitting in the open air does that and I am hoping that I shall sleep well tonight.

The Park is green and lush although the creek is not running, there were lots of large and shady trees and even though it was a warm day it was lovely sitting and listening to the delightful birds who were certainly enjoying their day.   Another group out to enjoy the day had their dogs with them and we had lots of visits from very friendly dogs.

It was a true delight to sit without radio/television and to enjoy the company of friends.  To catch up with Nick's Grandparents was lovely - they are well although a little more frail than when last seen by us.

Some pictures of Hazelwood Park:

I had a lovely day outside enjoying seeing Beth climb trees and then play with the dogs she had befriended and to sit and talk with Hugh and Bronte and Bronte's brother was very special.

I have come home and the news on television is no better but I have come home stronger and better able to cope by communing with nature.

I hope that the sun has been shining in your little corner of the world and thank you for stopping by to read "The Musings of My Heart."

Love and hugs,

Sounds like a perfect way to spend the day, I am so glad it was such a lovely time for you.
I bet the doggies are tired out too,

Sounds lovely. Much cooler here today, a little rain and the threat of storms.
I miss you sunshine.... we don't seem to catch up anymore.
Cheers
