ONCE AGAIN IT'S RUBY TUESDAY

Rod Stewart - Goodbye Ruby Tuesday

Welcome to Ruby Tuesday - a special day for those who love the days of our week and make them special for whatever reason - I love Wednesdays - but I also love Ruby Tuesdays and try to make them special and fun days.

Ruby Tuesday is a Restaurant Chain in USA - Ruby Tuesday Grill and wouldn't it be fun to be there for dinner on a Ruby Tuesday.

This one is in North Carolina and I can imagine the singing and fun to be had there on Tuesdays.

I hope the sun is shining on your Ruby Tuesday and that whatever your plans for the day are I hope they go well and you can find joy in the little "ruby red" things of life.

I am well and rejoicing in mail from friends telling me of babies expected very soon - babies are such a joy and hold such promise.  If there is a baby in your life be sure to give some extra cuddles because those baby days are all gone too soon and then you are left with a walking talking little person, who all too soon becomes an adult and you wonder where the time went.

Ruby Tuesday made me think of colours this morning and in particular the colour red - lots of beautiful things are red - the blood that sustains us, fire engines that protect us, lipstick, cherries and strawberries, apples and red wine.  Tomatoes,  poppies, red letter days, cardinals and robins, cars (red ones go faster),
ladybirds, balloons, roses, lobsters, stop signs, radish and lovely little toy wagons.  Capsicums (bell peppers),
ribbons, old post boxes, old telephone boxes and not forgetting for even a moment Rudolph's nose.

See what is in your world in the colour red on this Ruby Tuesday and I am sure you will find things to warm you (red is a colour we associate with warmth, romance and love) and I hope all three of these things are in your life today.   The warmth from the sun or a snugly blanket or a smile from a stranger.  Romance in any form it comes and love in fullest measure given and returned to you.

Have a wonderful Ruby Tuesday and I hope that you can tell me you were singing the song - it is probably stuck in your head now.   Come on................join in:

She would never say where she came from
Yesterday don't matter if it's gone
While the sun is bright
Or in the darkest night
No one knows
She comes and goes

Goodbye, ruby Tuesday
Who could hang a name on you?
When you change with every new day
Still I'm gonna miss you...

Don't question why she needs to be so free
Shell tell you it's the only way to be
She just can't be chained
To a life where nothings gained
And nothings lost
At such a cost

There's no time to lose, I heard her say
Catch your dreams before they slip away
Dying all the time
Lose your dreams
And you will lose your mind.
Ain't life unkind?

Goodbye, ruby Tuesday
Who could hang a name on you?
When you change with every new day
Still I'm gonna miss you...

Loads of love and hugs to you and thank you for visiting "The Musings of My Heart" this Ruby Tuesday and I just ask that you remember the people of Joplin, Missouri (USA) in their time of trouble at the hands of the Tornado that has ripped through there.

When I read this morning's blog, I had been trying to decide what colour yarn to use to teach my autistic 19 yr. old granddaughter to knit with when I take her along to my spinning, knitting, felting and weaving group this morning. Now I know - a ruby red which I have taken from my stash! Thank you Linda, and I hope your Ruby Red Day goes really well for you. love and hugs, Barbara

I didn't have red in my day today but my ruby for today was finding "Pilly" the koala back in her special pillularis tree that she loves so much. Pilly has visited our males so we are expecting a baby to be on her back in about 6 months.
It is sso good to have her back walking through the picnic tables .

So good to hear that Philly is home and I share your hopes that soon she will have her own little one.

Welcome home Philly.
