HELLO - IT'S RUBY TUESDAY

Rubies
Ruby Tuesday - The Stones

Welcome to Ruby Tuesday - it is very cold in my little corner of the world and I am wearing a red top to hopefully make me feel a little warmer.

I was thinking of all the beautiful things related to the colour red and lost count a long time ago as there are just so many of them.

The colour red can be chosen to represent danger and warning (fire engines, stop lights etc.) It is  often is considered to be a colour of romance and love - red roses etc. and all of those things aside it is just a very lovely colour.

  1. The ruby is considered to be the most powerful gem in the universe, and is associated with many astral signs. To own a ruby is said to have contentment and peace. Placed under a pillow the ruby may ward off bad dreams. Ruby rings should be worn on the left hand so as to receive the life force and have protection. Given as a gift, the ruby is a symbol of friendship and love. The ruby is also the symbol of vitality and royalty.

I hope that there is some ruby red in your day and that you feel the warmth of friendship all around this world.  Several friends are unwell at the moment and my love and warm thoughts  goes out to them.  We really do need to be a little kinder to everyone because we don't know the type or weight of the burden they are carrying.

Sending some red thoughts to everyone - the beautiful red dust of our outback Australia, the many shades in a glorious sunset and the beautiful petals on the rose "Loving Memory"

"Loving Memory"

Today holds some sadness and memory for me - it is nine years today since a very dear friend left our lives - she died while talking on the telephone to me and it brings me sadness and yet some relief to know that she now rests in peace and is troubled no longer.  Loving Memories of you Nola.

Our lives have all moved on and we are now at the stage where we can talk about her with affection and it doesn't hurt quite so much and we are able to remember and laugh at the funny things she did.

Wherever you are in a time of grief I hope that soon you are able to remember without it hurting quite so much.

Introducing Talisker (suitably named because his fur is the colour of Talisker Whisky) - latest pet in our family - a new companion and friend for my daughter and her partner.

Talisker Distillery - only Distillery on the Isle of Sky

To you all - I send love and care and hope that you can find joy in the little things of life today and can share a kind word or deed with someone and perhaps have coffee with a friend who understands your heart.

Love and hugs and gratitude for visiting "The Musings of My Heart."

Lovely as usual! My day did come with rubies, how dare I doubt a Ruby Tuesday!

I had a friend call in with cakes for afternoon tea at the Habitat and we watched the wrens having a bath with the sunlight reflecting off the water they threw about. Truly special little fellows

I am glad there were "rubies" for you in the form of cakes and wrens and sunlight on the water.

For me today's "rubies" come in the form of memories. Thanks for visiting.

Love and hugs,
Linda.
