Nat King Cole - Unforgettable
Hello there from Friday afternoon in my sunny but cold little corner of the world - this week has gone very quickly and has been a busy one, filled with memories and prompts from days gone by.
The song above is one I heard during last night and it reminded me of my Father and I have had phone calls from people I have not heard from for a very long time.
I am convinced it must have been "remember Linda" month as I have had emails, phone calls, text messages and facebook friend requests - if I crossed your mind recently I hope it was with pleasure and the memories were kind for you.
It is hard when something comes like a bolt from the blue - hard to know whether to open the door or leave it closed. I have had times of laughter and times of tears from memories long put aside.
I am sharing something I wrote sometime ago called "A Peaceful Room"
A PEACEFUL ROOM
In every heart there is a room
Where shelter can be found,
A place of love and memory
Where joy and tears abound.
A place of shelter from the storm
Where love’s young dream lives on ~
A place to visit often
Where families are one.
Laughter rings from this room
And comfort bears the soul
On angel wings and carries it back
To where it can be whole.
No aging here in memory,
And days all long and fair
A special place to visit
Away from toil and care.
Love is fresh and new
And very starry eyed.
A remembered glance and touch
A smile of tenderness and pride.
Conversation soft and low
Sweet, sweet wine and flowers.
Visiting this heart room
Brings again the joy of hours.
The tears that have been shed here
And some brought sweet release,
The agony of waiting and watching
For morning to bring some peace..
The memory of cooling
A precious child’s fevered brow,
The hoping and the praying
That it would be alright somehow.
In this room of your heart
Stand shelves of memories treasure
The bitter/sweet and painful ones,
The ones which bring such pleasure.
Visit your heart’s room often
Restore and find some calm
It is a special place indeed
And will shelter you from harm.

I hope you are able to visit your Peaceful Room and spend time easing your pain, finding comfort and release.
It is the weekend again and a time for making memories and I hope that you are able to find some sunshine and laughter.
It has been a wonderful week for so many people - McKenzie is so much better, Ethan has his infection under control and may be going home again soon, Crosby is coping with the change of medication. Kortni's new liver is working well and there is little Lottie in Birmingham England with a new liver and little Brooke at UCLA with a new heart. Oh the wonder of it all.
Be safe and well and enjoy your weekend.
Love and hugs and thanks for visiting "the Musings from My Heart.
Linda.
