GRAND FINAL SATURDAY - AND IT'S THE CATS and DAYLIGHT SAVING

Geelong Football Song.

Welcome to Saturday Evening and the finals are over and the winning team is GEELONG -  congratulations and commiserations to Collingwood - it was a game well played and carried it's share of injuries.   This game sees the end of the football season and a big smile on my face,

I have had a busy day - blood tests first thing this morning and then organizing lunch - although it seemed that we "grazed" all day  - we had plenty of food and the kids went home with enough food to get them through the weekend.
We had all the traditional pies/sausage rolls and Alexis made an amazing spinach and ricotta pie from the Jamie Oliver book Naomi received for her birthday.  There was all the normal sort of cheering and booing and I convinced my family is quite a noisy one.  I did manage to read the newspaper and also read some of my book.

It was a lovely family time and I really enjoyed it - but oh boy am I tired now and will be going off to bed very soon.

Summer is on the way and time to change our clocks here in Australia ( at least for the states who take part in this.)
Western Australia and Queensland don't have "Daylight Saving" but I am glad that we in South Australia do - I love it.   "Spring forward/Fall back" is how I remember which way to turn the clock - spring time forward and autumn back.  It will take a few days for me to get into the swing of it - but I love the light evenings on the warmer days.

Time for me to go to bed - I really am very tired but couldn't miss checking in and letting you know that I am well and that I hope you have had as lovely a day as I have had.

Thanks for calling by and reading "The Musings from my Heart"

Love and hugs,
Linda.
