IT'S RUBY TUESDAY AND CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE?

Elton John - Can you feel the love tonight?

It's Ruby Tuesday - put on your red shoes and enjoy the journey on your Yellow Brick Road and can you feel the love?

I just adore the wisdom of Pooh Bear and of course the music from The Lion King.

"There's a calm surrender
To the rush of day
When the heat of the rolling world
Can be turned away
An enchanted moment
And it sees me through
It's enough for this restless warrior
Just to be with you

(Chorus)
And can you feel the love tonight?
It is where we are
It's enough for this wide-eyed wanderer
That we got this far
And can you feel the love tonight
How it's laid to rest?
It's enough to make kings and vagabonds
Believe the very best

There's a time for everyone
If they only learn
That the twisting kaleidoscope
Moves us all in turn
There's a rhyme and reason
To the wild outdoors
When the heart of this star-crossed voyager
Beats in time with yours

(Chorus)
And can you feel the love tonight?
It is where we are
It's enough for this wide-eyed wanderer
That we got this far
And can you feel the love tonight
How it's laid to rest?
It's enough to make kings and vagabonds
Believe the very best

It's enough to make kings and vagabonds
Believe the very best."

and  indeed it is "enough for THIS wide eyed wanderer that we got this far" .  I feel the love of friends and family around me in my life and it feels good.

I am a wide eyed wanderer on the roads of life and enjoying my journey, albeit with the speed humps, sharp corners and detour signs I often find on my road.  No doubt they are on your road too - it's all part of life.  My Father always used to say "It's  all part of life's rich pattern."  I remember hearing that so often long before I knew what he meant.  He too was a wide eyed wanderer and always claimed to have been born "under a wandering star."
How I wish he were here to use the technology we have today - he did manage some emails before he died, but how much he would love reading these blogs of mine and would probably be offering ideas for posts on a regular basis.

I hope you "feel the love" wherever you are - the love of family - friends, pets, nursing staff - all of those who show us their tender and caring side are sharing the love.  There is love all around you - you just have to look and find it.

Love is a word we have over used and misused and abused - but Pooh Bear is right - you don't spell it - you feel it.

Pooh Bear was very wise and had some very sound friends - who couldn't love Tigger - the bouncy bouncy happy friend. Piglet and Eeyore and Owl - they were a very diverse group of friends but shared so much of the good times and the bad.  The stories from the 100 Acre Wood have been read and cherished in this household and I hope that you are able to read Winnie the Pooh to the little ones in your lives.

There are so many ways you can sparkle and find gems on your Ruby Tuesday - in the phone call you were not expecting, a letter in the main, or an email, dew on the grass, a beautiful sunrise or sunset.  The gems are there you just have to find them and I wish you a day of discovery as you look for them.

Feel the love in a gentle breeze, a butterfly in your garden, the breaking of waves on the coastline, kindness and generosity.   Feel the love - it is there be open to it.

Thanks for calling by and reading "The Musings from My Heart" - and remember to sparkle and shine.

Love and hugs
Linda.
