SATURDAY AND TWO WEEKS FROM CHRISTMAS EVE

Have you seen the mistletoe, it fills the night with kisses
Have you seen the bright blue star, it fills your heart with wishes
Have you seen the candlelight, it shines from every window
Have you seen the moon above, it lights the sky in silver

Green is in the mistletoe and red is in the holly
Silver in the stars above that shine on everybody
Gold is in the candlelight and crimson in the embers
White is in the winter night that everyone remembers
Have you heard their sweet hearts cry for all this time they're waiting

Green is in the mistletoe and red is in the holly
Silver in the stars above that shine on everybody
Gold is in the candlelight and crimson in the embers
White is in the winter night that everyone remembers

Have you seen the children playing, tiny hands are frozen
Have you seen them hurry home, when suddenly its snowing

Green is in the mistletoe and red is in the holly
Silver in the stars above that shine on everybody
Gold is in the candlelight and crimson in the embers
White is in the winter night that everyone remembers

Have you heard that bells are ringing, ringing out their story
Have you heard the choir singing, Glory, Glory Glory

Welcome to Saturday two weeks from Christmas Eve and Christmas has arrived in my heart and my home this morning as I sat and listened to Christmas music, looked at my Christmas tree and ate cherries - it made me realize that it is indeed Christmas time.   Signs of Christmas have been all around my home for many weeks but it fully arrived in my heart this morning and I wept tears of joy for all that I am, for all that I have and all that I hope to be.

I had dinner out with what was 3/5 of "the Golden Girls" - Narelle, Ilona and Me - it was a lovely meal, restaurant was lovely nicely decorated and the food superb - I had a chicken breast fillet with garlic and cream sauce and prawns, and a lovely sharp crisp salad.   I am not sure that "Oliver" * likes garlic.   We are still getting to know each other even though i am "old news" now.

I am constantly in awe of the technology that allows me to be in touch with the world and to "pen" my thoughts daily here.   On my list of thinks to be thankful for are the Internet and even Facebook.  Although it lovely to be able to be directly in touch with people - nothing surpasses the pure joy of a live conversation.   I am thankful for the telephone and I had that yesterday with a very special friend who is also a liver recipient.  It was delightful to hear the voice and the share the laughter.  Everyone should have a friend like Joe and I give thanks daily for his presence in my life.  I am "old news" and he is "new news" and although on different sides of the world the journey and feelings are exactly the same.    There is so much to share of life, love, music and laughter.  Stay well my friend Joe.

If you are Christmas shopping - be safe on the roads and be patient in the shops - try to make it a joyful experience (I just said that to my elder daughter on the phone and she wasn't quite convinced Christmas shopping could be joyful - I told her to pretend she was me for a few hours and all would be well.)

So from this tinsel filled heart and it's Musings I shall say cheerio for now and thank you for visiting.

Be sure to sparkle and shine.

Love and hugs,

* my new liver is named "Oliver"
