RAINY DAYS AND MONDAYS

Good Afternoon and welcome to my Monday where it certainly isn't raining - the sky is blue with high cloud and the sun is shining.   It is going to be another scorcher here today and my thoughts are with those who are experiencing nasty winter weather.  There have been heavy snow falls in the United States and the sky there is very grey and the wind is nasty.   The people of Kentucky are in for some heavy weather overnight their Sunday and into Monday.    If you have to be out on the roads, please take extra special care.   Suzanne, I know you have to head of to work in the thick of it all - my thoughts and prayers are with you.

We could certainly use some rain for our gardens, but that isn't forecast any time real soon.  Monday's don't get me down either - could be because I don't have to go back to work, but they never really did bother me.   I have learned to take each new day and to relish and enjoy it - irrespective of the name we give it.  Monday is just the name of the day.

Changed my juice this morning to watermelon/cucumber and apple and it was lovely - silly girl that I am didn't quite have the jug lined up and made an awful mess.   Never mind it will clean up and no one would ever know.

I am blessed where I live to be living in Sunshine and I send a big pack of it to those who are enduring winter days and have to go out in the bad weather to get to work and school etc.  Rug and stay warm and be careful on icy roads.

I seem to have spent a lot of time of the phone today and I love the telephone and all that technology that keeps me close to those I love.

and it is amazing how similar lives are for families no matter which side of the world we are one.   Same answers to same questions, kids up and down and all over the place., evenings in the warmth, television and hot chocolate (although in this corner of the globe a nice crisp cold drink with ice would be the drink of preference at the moment.)

This makes me aware of how small the world really is and how alike our lives are - same problems, same bills to pay, same complications with dealing with Government Departments, same canned "Musak " while we are put on hold and wait for long periods of time. Same meals to organize and same dishes to be done and cleaned up, laundry to be done - same Christmas decorations to take down.   We are all living a very similar life, and we all cope with the information dealt out to us by Political parties seeking office.

Wherever you are in this world, be safe and warm, safe and cool and live your lives to the full - remembering that the joy is in the journey and that life is not a rehearsal.

I will you an easy slide into Monday and for those for whom Monday is half gone - a lovely evening ahead.   Take special care of yourselves and remember to "Shine".

Thanks for calling by to read the Musings from My Heart - a heart that is content and loved.

Love and hugs,
Linda.
