THANKFUL THURSDAY - SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR

Good afternoon and welcome to Thankful Thursday and on a much cooler day I am thankful for so many things.  Here we are at 5th. January and almost a week of the new year has gone already and nearly two weeks from Christmas.

My "tinselitis" is not improving at all and I made a big mistake and visited Office Works yesterday and bought lots of lovely things for next Christmas - stationery for my Christmas letter, cards and gift tags - I saved lots of money there.

I have been to the Podiatrist today and learned the lovely news of her engagement and it was lovely to see the stars dancing in her eyes.  The view over the lake from the Podiatrist is beautiful and I took some photographs to share.

The water on the lake was choppy and there were rowers out there having a wonderful time and making the most of the lovely weather.  I really do have so much to be thankful for - I live close to beautiful places, beaches, lakes and rivers, all of which I generally take for granted until I choose to share pictures with friends.

There are those who have family members who are ill and for whom the prognosis is not good  ~ you are in my thoughts and prayers and I pray that as you take this journey with them your hearts are open to learning and loving and being compassionate.

As you can see from the pictures above my sky is blue and there are no clouds, but some of you are living in the middle of winter in your northern hemisphere homes and it is easy to suffer from S.A.D. ( Seasonal  Affective Disorder) where the grey sky and the constant grey of your days can get you down.  I hope I can bring a little sunshine to those hearts.

I am thankful for so many things - I am thankful for phone calls and the Internet which allows me to see face to face those I love, to see,  not just hear their laughter, to see fatigue in their eyes and to share more of their lives.

I am thankful for the Care Givers in this life - without them life would be much more difficult for those who are ill - it is not an easy task and to all Care Givers I offer my thanks.  I am thankful for the strength of character I see in those I love and for the fact that they listen.

I am thankful for "girl talk" and for surprise visits from family members I don't see very often - all part of my special day and on my thankful list.  I am thankful for the Global Village and the depth and colour different cultures bring to my world.

There are two ladies who I know are very ill right now and to Anthony and Nicole - I am praying for your Mothers and for courage and strength for you as you take this journey.

I have so much to be thankful for - sunshine and starlight, friends and family, love and laughter, the pure joy of living, loving and sharing words.

Thank you for visiting the Musings from My Heart and for letting me share your journey.

Love and hugs,
Linda - with a very thankful heart.
